Over the years, wallpapers on iOS have undergone significant improvements, offering users dynamic, still, and live options. However, one feature that has been notably absent is video wallpapers. Fortunately, with the Eneko tweak, iOS users can now easily set video clips as their wallpaper, taking personalization to a whole new level.

What is Eneko?

Eneko is a free jailbreak tweak that enables you to personalize your iOS device by setting a short video clip as your wallpaper. This tweak is incredibly lightweight and supports both the Lock Screen and Home Screen. Additionally, you can set distinct video wallpapers for each screen. Recently the tweak has been updated, but it still doesn't support rootless jailbreaks.

After installing the Eneko tweak on your iPhone or iPad, a dedicated preference pane is seamlessly integrated into the Settings app. From this pane, you can easily customize all of your preferred options with just a few taps. There is a toggle to quickly enable and disable the tweak.

Eneko tweak empowers you to set captivating video wallpapers on both your Home Screen and Lock Screen. By default, the audio in the video is turned off. However, you can easily adjust the volume using a simple slider to reach your desired level. Eneko tweak has been recently updated to support iOS 14 through iOS 16, providing support for the latest iOS versions.

Eneko tweak supports various jailbreak tools, including unc0ver, Palera1n, and rootless XinaA15, offering smooth integration and optimized functionality. The developer has recently released version 1.2, which streamlined the tweak by removing features such as Control Center wallpaper, blur, dim and opacity options, as well as Cephei dependency.

The Eneko tweak allows you to tailor its behavior to your specific preferences directly from its integrated preference pane. For instance, you can choose to mute the video wallpaper when playing music and disable the tweak when in low power mode to conserve battery life.

Customizing your wallpaper with a video clip is a breeze with the Eneko tweak. You can easily set a video wallpaper by selecting a file from your Photo Library. This can be a video you've recorded yourself or downloaded and imported from the internet or third-party apps. With just a few taps, you can have a dynamic and engaging wallpaper that truly reflects your style.

Tip: Select a short clip from your Photo app library. Once you've chosen the clip, apply the changes and respring your device for the wallpaper to take effect.

Eneko is an open-source project that was released under the GNU General Public License v3.0, allowing developers to access and modify the code as needed. The source code for this video wallpaper tweak is available on the GitHub repository, where you can also find the compiled DEB package for download. The tweak was primarily written in Objective-C programming language.

Add Repository

Eneko tweak has been released as a DEB package that can be installed on your iOS 14 to iOS 16 device using either Sileo or Filza. To install Eneko tweak on your device, simply download all the required packages. Once installed, you can set short video clips as your wallpaper. At present, the Eneko tweak is not compatible with Fugu15 Max or Dopamine jailbreaks.

To install Eneko tweak on your iPhone or iPad with Sileo, follow those steps:

  1. Open Sileo app from the Home Screen.
  2. Tap on the Sources tab, then select Edit button.
  3. Add the following repository URL: https://havoc.app
