MobileMeadow Reborn: Animated Birds and Flowers on Home Screen
pkgFiles brings live to MobileMeadow tweak with a Reborn edition. Originally released by pixelomer, the tweak transforms your iPhone into a peaceful meadow, where vibrant flowers bloom across your apps and graceful birds soar freely over your screen. The project is inspired by Desktop Meadow, and I love it.
MobileMeadow Reborn Repository
MobileMeadow Reborn was released as a free package for rootless jailbreaks. You can download the tweak from the official pkgFiles repository and install it on iOS 14 – iOS 17. It will work with Dopamine and palera1n jailbreaks. RootHide Bootstrap is not supported. Add the repository to your favorite package manager.
Why use MobileMeadow Reborn?
MobileMeadow Reborn is a new jailbreak tweak redesigned for modern jailbreaks running iOS 14 and newer. It brings some life to your Home Screen by adding animated birds and flowers, keeping you company as you use your iPhone. The tweak is really fun to use, and it's great that pkgFiles ported it for modern jailbreaks.
Once installed, MobileMeadow Reborn adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you can enable the tweak and configure all available options. There are separate options for birds, flowers, and miscellaneous.
MobileMeadow Reborn integrates with the Home Screen and the pixelized elements look beautiful. This is an excellent port of Desktop Meadow by samperson that integrates with the iOS ecosystem perfectly.
The tweak was released as an open-source project under the MIT license. MobileMeadow tweak may not compile out of the box. Important files to compile it are uploaded in the MobileMeadow GitHub Repository.
When MobileMeadow Reborn adds flowers to your apps and lets birds fly across your screen, it uses image sprites to create animations. This makes it easy for artists to design their own animals and animations for the environment. MobileMeadow supports both the SpringBoard and apps.
Besides animations, the MobileMeadow tweak also displays notifications for new emails with 'mail-birds' that deliver all kinds of letters sent by strangers. Flowers can also grown in apps on Navigation bars.
The original MobileMeadow by pixelomer was released long ago with support for rootful jailbreaks running unc0ver and checkra1n jailbreaks. The support ended with the iOS 14 release. This version is still available for download throught the pixelomer repository. This version supports mail notifications for all iOS devices.
About two months ago, pixelomer updated the MobileMeadow tweak to work with rootless jailbreaks. However, I recommend using MobileMeadow Reborn by pkgFiles for modern jailbreaks like palera1n and Dopamine.
MobileMeadow was released for free so give it a try. It's really fun to use on jailbreak.
Both tweaks, MobileMeadow and MobileMeadow Reborn, are incompatible with the RootHide Bootstrap. Even if you use the RootHide Patcher and apply the tweak to run within selected apps, it still won't work.
