Glance tweak: New Lock Screen Notifications for iOS
Glance is a new jailbreak tweak that offers a new Lock Screen Notifications experience for iOS 15 – iOS 17, inspired by Dynastic Tweak's ShortLook. This OLED-friendly notification system, similar to ShortLook, leaves most of your screen blank and displays the sender and notification details as a prompt in the center of the screen.

Glance was released as a paid tweak available for download from the Chariz Store. It can be purchased for $1.49 and installed on jailbroken environments running iOS 15, iOS 16, and iOS 17. Both, rootless and rootful jailbreaks are supported including Palera1n and Dopamine.
What is Glance?
Glance, developed by Janis, is a new jailbreak tweak that brings ShortLook-inspired Lock Screen Notifications to modern jailbreaks on iOS 15 – iOS 17, regardless if it's a rootful or a rootless environment. What's more, Glance tweak supports iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch. The tweak relies on using plugins to provide profile pictures for display.
After the installation is completed, a dedicated preference pane is added to the Setting app from where you can configure all options to your liking. Currently, Glance supports profile pictures from apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Discord, and iMessage / SMS.
A few noteworthy features are available with the tweak's release. Glance shows the app title and icon without turning on your screen. From tweak's preferences, there are options to customize text sizes, adjust animation durations, and show the notification's content.
In addition, Glance may lock the device after showing a notice, show nothing when focus mode is enabled, stop the animation at any moment by touching anywhere on the screen, and display the sender's profile image for apps that allow it.
With its large notification area on the lock screen, Glance is marketed as a change that makes it possible to see fresh alerts from a distance. This might be helpful if you are charging the iPhone outside the room where you are located. The notification stays on the screen.
With a badge indicator, Glance tweak will automatically group alerts from the same app. It changes to the new notifications when it receives a notice from another app.
Plugins for the Glace tweak can be downloaded from the Janis' Repository. Please be aware that RootHide support is not provided but should be possible by using the patcher. Glance can be purchased at $1.49 from Chariz Repository via your favorite package manager app.
