Amber tweak

Amber

The flashlight feature on an iPhone is a built-in utility that uses the device's camera flash to provide additional lighting in low-light situations. It can be used for tasks such as finding items in a dark room. Amber tweak changes the flashlight color to warm.

What is Amber?

Amber is a jailbreak tweak that enables you to switch the flashlight color of your iPhone. The tweak seamlessly integrates with the Control Center module, allowing for easy adjustments to both the brightness and color of the light emitted from the device's camera flash.

After the installation process of Amber tweak is completed, you will be able to change the flashlight color from white to warm using the flashlight feature in the Control Center. When you tap on the flashlight icon in the Control Center, all available options will be presented to you.

The Amber tweak not only allows you to change the backlight color from the default cold tone to a warm one, but also offers the ability to create a custom mix of colors. Additionally, it allows you to adjust the light brightness in four different levels. The tweak supports iOS 14 – iOS 15.

To alter the color tone, simply open the Control Center and tap and hold on the flashlight icon. This will activate the Amber tweak's preference page, where you can change the color tone and adjust the light brightness. Tapping on the flashlight icon repeatedly will allow you to switch between the different supported color modes. Amber works with Palera1n and XinaA15.

By default, the Amber tweak only enhances the functionality of your device's built-in flashlight utility. However, by installing the QuadHighCurrent tweak in addition to Amber, you'll gain access to all the LED lights inside the Camera app, allowing for even more versatile lighting options.

Amber tweak was released as an open-source project under the MIT license. The source code for the tweak can be accessed through GitHub. Written primarily in the Logos programming language, the tweak was created for learning and research purposes.
