What is AirDrop16?
AirDrop16, a jailbreak tweak, seamlessly incorporates the iOS 16 time limit for AirDrop's 'Everyone' feature onto earlier devices operating iOS 14 and iOS 15. Beyond this, it augments the default iOS 16 options by introducing enhanced control over the functionality. Users can now customize the duration (ranging from 1 to 60 minutes) for AirDrop's 'Everyone' mode.
Once the specified duration elapses, individuals have the flexibility to automatically revert to either 'Receiving Disabled' or 'Contacts Only.' AirDrop16 tweak supports all jailbreaks spinning from iOS 14 to iOS 16, this includes rootless environments such as Dopamine, Palera1n, and XinaA15. The developer released also a dedicated version for RootHide Jailbreak.
Upon installation, AirDrop16 tweak adds a new preference pane into the Settings app, providing users with a centralized location to tailor all options to their preferences. Within this pane, users can activate the tweak and define the time duration for AirDrop's 'Everyone' mode. Users can choose to automatically revert from 'Everyone' to either 'Receiving off' or 'Contacts Only'.
Throughout this designated period, users are discoverable in AirDrop, allowing them to receive from anyone. Subsequently, once the specified time elapses, the mode automatically reverts to the user's pre-selected setting. There is also a handy respring button to apply new settings.
Moreover, the tweak facilitates automatic adaptation to 'Everyone, X minutes' across all system interfaces where 'Everyone' is showcased, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience. Additionally, it boasts robust support for internationalization.
Notably, it enables the automatic transition back to 'Disabled' or 'Contacts Only' modes, even after the activation of 'Everyone, X minutes,' ensuring user preferences persist even when the screen is locked. AirDrop16 sets a time limit for AirDrop's 'Everyone' like in iOS 16, but more flexible. Download the latest version of the tweak from the Havoc Repository.
