Fix RDAR Dynamic Island 45025538 for iPhone 11 and iPhone XR
When you enable Dynamic Island on unsupported devices, you might notice a "rdar" error, which appears as a red bar at the top of the screen. This happens because of a resolution change when activating Dynamic Island on iOS 17.0 to 18.0. The issue mainly affects iPhone XR and iPhone 11. Here’s how you can fix it.
Dynamic Island, introduced with iOS 16 for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, transforms the pill-shaped cutout at the top of the screen (which houses the front camera and Face ID sensors) into an interactive area. It displays notifications, real-time updates, and other background activities, enhancing the user experience.
Though Dynamic Island is a highly sought-after feature, it's limited to the latest iPhones due to Apple's sales strategy. However, there's a workaround that allows you to activate it on any device running iOS 17 or iOS 18. While it may slightly overlap with the notch, it remains fully functional.
RDAR Error
When you use tools like MisakaX or Nugget, they take advantage of the SparseRestore exploit to modify system files on iOS 17 up to iOS 18 Beta 4 without needing a jailbreak. This allows the applications to adjust your iPhone’s screen resolution and activate the built-in Dynamic Island feature, also on notched devices.
However, some devices, like the iPhone XR and iPhone 11, experience the "rdar:45025538" error after applying the Dynamic Island feature.
This results in a red box or bar appearing at the top of the screen, negatively affecting the experience. Fortunately, there is a solution to fix the "rdar:45025538" error and remove the red bar from the screen.
If you're using a jailbroken device, there's an excellent tweak called VisibleIsland that allows you to customize the appearance and features of Dynamic Island. It includes sliders to adjust the positioning, letting you move the Dynamic Island below the notch for a better fit on your screen.
