What Is Serotonin IPA?
The Serotonin IPA is the official installation file for the Serotonin semi-jailbreak, designed for iOS 16.0–16.6.1 on devices like the iPhone XS to 14 Pro Max. Unlike traditional jailbreaks, Serotonin uses the KFD exploit to enable tweak injection and system customization without full root access. This IPA must be installed via TrollStore, a sideloading tool that bypasses Apple’s app signing restrictions, and requires RootHide Bootstrap to manage tweaks safely.
Unlike other jailbreaks, Serotonin’s lightweight design supports SpringBoard tweaks—such as dynamic widget placement, icon theming, and gesture controls—without draining battery life or causing instability. It's KFD exploit-based system ensures no recurring re-jailbreaks after reboots, while RootHide Bootstrap safeguards against boot loops during tweak installation.
Serotonin IPA Versions for Sideloading
- Serotonin IPA 1.2.1 (Stable Release) is the recommended version for installing the jailbreak via TrollStore. It offers full compatibility with iOS 16.0–16.6.1, RootHide Bootstrap tweak injection, and stable KFD exploit performance.
- Serotonin IPA 1.2.1-1 (Version 2.0) is marketed as a major update; this build introduced a redesigned UI but suffers from critical bugs, including failed jailbreak activation and boot loops. The version was abandoned shortly after release, and the Serotonin project is now inactive. Avoid this IPA—it’s unusable for practical jailbreaking.

How to Install Serotonin Jailbreak IPA via TrollStore
Serotonin Jailbreak was released as an IPA package installable only via the TrollStore 2 IPA Installer on iPhones, exploiting iOS from 14 to 17.0 to modify restricted files. TrollStore apps can't be installed with regular IPA sideloading tools.
Here's how to install Serotonin Jailbreak IPA with TrollStore:
- Install TrollStore on firmware between iOS 14.0 to iOS 17.0.
- Download Serotonin Jailbreak IPA for iOS and save it on iCloud.
- Share the downloaded IPA file with the TrollStore app.
- TrollStore will automatically install Serotonin Jailbreak when the file is loaded.
- Access Serotonin Jailbreak App from the Home Screen.
