How to install WinRa1n on Windows
For Windows users, WinRa1n is a favored substitute for Palera1n that can jailbreak all checkm8 devices with tweak support from a PC. Depending on the installed iOS version, WinRa1n includes jailbreaks like checkra1n and palera1n for Windows with support for A7–A11 iOS devices. Before using it on Windows, you need to prepare it a little. This article will walk you through the whole process of installing WinRa1n on Windows.
Requirements
- A PC running Windows 10 or newer.
- The latest version of WinRa1n 2.1 Installer.
- Installed iTunes 32-bit / iTunes 64-bit or Apple Mobile Device Support.
Installing WinRa1n
WinRa1n is a jailbreak tool released for Windows only. It supports Windows 10 or newer. For Linux or macOS use palera1n or checkra1n jailbreak tools.
To install WinRa1n 2.1 on Windows PC, follow the steps:
- Download WinRa1n 2.1 and save the file on the Desktop.
- Install the AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi or iTunes (version from Apple webiste).
- To make all the changes take effect, restart your Windows computer after finishing.
- Install UsbDk_1.0.22_x64.msi, the required USB driver to exploit your iPhone.
- Open WinRa1n2.1.exe from your Desktop.
- If installed correctly it will mount iTunes and display 'Connect Your iDevice to begin'.
- Connect your iPhone to PC via USB.
- Select the checkra1n version depending on your iDevice.
- Click on jailbreak directly from Normal/Recovery/DFU modes.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to jailbreak.
