What is Twitter Owl?
Twitter Owl, also known as Owl for Twitter, is a free tweak that significantly enhances the official Twitter app by offering a range of useful features. These include the ability to disable typing notifications, remove ads, and save videos, among other things. You can easily install this tweak on non-jailbroken devices by sideloading it, or on jailbroken devices installing it from Cydia.
Owl tweak comes with a lot of features for the official Twitter app available in the App Store. Once installed, it adds a new preference pane to Twitter's Settings page from where you can open Owl and access all options. By default, every toggle is disabled.
With this powerful tweak, you can add a new layer of security to Twitter with Face / Touch ID. Safeguard your information and privacy from users trying to access your Twitter app. Disable typing identification to prevent users from being notified when you are typing a message.
Disable Like action will ignore all like requests by the user. Useful hack to browse tweets anonymously. Remove all fleets from displaying on top of your Twitter feed. Owl tweak allows you also to browse feeds without any Twitter Ads and download videos with a simple long tap.

The tweak works with all modern jailbreaks running iOS 12, iOS 13, and iOS 14. I was testing Owl for Twitter running unc0ver, but it will work also with other jailbreaks including checkra1n. On iOS 15 you can easily sign and install the included IPA file, or try direct web links.

The tweak was designed to work with the latest version of Twitter 8.65. The non-jailbreak version of Owl tweak is prebuilt into the IPA file. Using software like Sideloadly you can install the tweaked version of the app on your iPhone. This method requires you to use a Desktop.
Step 1. Download Twitter Owl IPA (link available at top of this page).
Step 2. Open Sideloadly application to install the IPA.
Step 3. Connect your device to the computer via a USB cable.
Step 4. Drag and drop the downloaded Owl IPA on the Sideloadly window.
Step 5. Provide your Apple ID to sign the Twitter Owl IPA file.
Step 6. Click the Start button to install the IPA file on your iPhone.
Step 7. When prompted, enter the password for your Apple ID.

Step 8. Open the Settings app from the home screen.

To install Owl for Twitter tweak on your jailbroken iOS device with Cydia, follow these steps:
- Open the Cydia app from the Home Screen.
- Tap on the Sources tab, then select Edit button.
- Add the following repository URL: http://apt.thebigboss.org/
- Cydia will automatically refresh packages available in the repo.
- Search for Owl tweak and install the package.
- Restart the Springboard to apply all changes.
- Access Owl tweak settings from Twitter's settings page.
