What is Sonus13?
Sonus13 is a jailbreak tweak designed to enhance the volume HUD on iOS 13 – iOS 14. However, with an unofficial build, it can now also be utilized on rootless jailbreaks. By replacing the default iOS volume HUD, this tweak brings about a significant transformation to your entire iOS user experience. Sonus13 tweak was originally created to replace the unappealing iOS 13 HUD.
After successfully installing the Sonus13 tweak, you will notice a new dedicated preference pane added to your Settings app. This intuitive preference pane provides easy access to all the volume HUD settings, including sliders, background, positioning, indicators, animations, status bar, and various additional options. The thoughtful inclusion of a convenient import and export feature allows you to swiftly access and manage your preferred settings with ease.
Sonus13 tweak offers a wide array of customizable slider settings, granting you complete control over the volume HUD's visual aspects. With Sonus13, you can personalize the following slider attributes: colors, thickness, length, rounded corners, and vertical appearance. The tweak can also dynamically change the color by applying the current status bar foreground color.
Further customization includes dedicated setting to change the background and positioning of the new volume HUD. For background customization, you can choose the perfect color, add a subtle drop shadow, or apply a sleek blur effect with various styles available.
Additionally, you can fine-tune the border radius and padding to achieve the ideal visual balance. When it comes to positioning, Sonus13 offers precise alignment settings, allowing you to precisely adjust the X and Y positions separately for both portrait and landscape orientations.
Moreover, the tweak provides further refinements, allowing you to adjust the default duration of the Sonus13 animation according to your preferences. For a cleaner look, you have the option to hide specific items from the Status Bar, such as time, carrier information, and battery details.
Not only can you modify the appearance of the volume indicators, but you also gain the ability to disable ringer and media indicators, along with the volume percentage display. Additionally, Sonus13 tweak for iOS 13 – iOS 16 grants you the freedom to change the color and size of icons for a personalized touch. Those options allow you to create a unique volume HUD controller.
Within the preference pane, you'll discover another valuable configuration option. Sonus13 tweak takes full advantage of haptic feedback, a feature that provides tactile sensations, to enhance your volume HUD experience. This tweak allows you to enable haptic feedback when reaching the volume extremes, either at 0% (6% for the ringer) or 100% volume.
Sonus13 goes the extra mile in supporting energy-saving capabilities. By enabling OLED mode and the energy saver feature, you can significantly reduce battery consumption. The energy saver feature works by automatically disabling OLED mode approximately 30 seconds after locking the device and when no media or music is playing, conserving battery usage. In OLED mode, you can tap the screen to turn it on or tap the HUD to put it back to sleep.
There is also a toggle to enable always show Sonus13 even if the application has a custom volume HUD (YouTube, for example) and allows adjusting the volume from Lock Screen. By offering such a wide range of customization possibilities, Sonus13 enables you to curate a volume HUD that is both visually appealing and seamlessly integrated into your iOS experience. Enjoy the flexibility to make your device truly your own with Sonus13.
