NFCWriter XS

NFC Chip on your iPhone was limited by Apple. To take the full advanced of the Chip you can install an app like NFCWriter XS. It will add some new features to a jailbroken device like an option to open hotel room doors. NFCWriter XS works with iPhone 6S and up.

Add NFCWriter XS Repo to your package manager.

What is NFCWriter XS?

NFCWriter XS is an amazing application designed for jailbroken devices to take full advantage of your iPhone's NFC Chip. Using this app you can scan NFC tags, Credit Cards, MRTD Documents (passports, ID Cards),or emulate hotel room cards to open the door. Works on iOS 10 to iOS 14.

Because of the limitation of iOS devices, NFCWriter can be also used with High-Frequency NFC tags (13.56MHz). Low-frequency RFID tags are not supported. NFCWriter XS works with tag types such as ISO 14443, Mifare, ISO 15693, ISO-DEP, and more.

When you will install the app on your device a new icon will appear on the Home Screen. NFCWriter XS for iOS is packed with a lot of features like read the most common tag types, read/write/copy/format tags, read and write NDEF messages, and read full memory of tags.

NFCWriter XS can display info about tags like Manufacturer, Tag Type, Serial Number, ATQA, SAK, Memory Size, etc., perform actions based on your tag's contents, manage and save your tags, and emulate tags with UID and NDEF message emulation! (ISO-DEP Protocol).

Emulation can emulate the tag's UID and include NDEF messages. It cannot emulate the whole tag's memory or encrypted info, so if you're trying to emulate a security tag, like door-opening tags, it may or may not work depending on the tag's infrastructure and its built-in security.

On top of that, in the latest version of NFCWriter XS tweak was implemented the feature to read EMV cards (Credit/Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Maestro, etc.),and read MRTD documents (Passports, ID Cards, Driver Licenses that contain an NFC chip).

Assign Activator actions to be performed when a specific tag is detected in the background, send commands manually to tags (Advanced Users),and serve a tag from an iPhone to a remote iPhone and emulate it remotely. NFCWriter XS is available for purchase at $3.99.

NFCWriter XS for iOS offers also a few Settings to configure. Enable scan continuously, autosave NDEF records, autosave tags, prompt a message to ask before launching action, show emulation, and last scan log. There is also an option to manage saved records and tags.

From the app settings pane, you can also restart the nfcd daemon. NFCWriter XS 3.2.106 doesn't use only Apple's own NFC framework. The developer did extensive research and this NFCWriter XS tweak manages directly the NFC chip on a driver level.

Alternatively, you can install another tweak like Aemulo offering similar features to NFCWriter XS. Aemulo offers also the ability to add cards to Wallet so you can invoke them from the lock screen. Aemulo tweak supports all iPhones running iOS 13+ on unc0ver or checkra1n.
