iPhone charging is really simple and boring. With a jailbreak tweak like MegaSafe Controller, you can enable the native "MagSafe" charging view when connecting your device to a power source. This looks fun and adds something unique to the Lock Screen.

What is MegaSafe Controller?

MegaSafe Controller is a free jailbreak tweak that brings the native "MagSafe" charging view to your iPhone when connecting the device to a power source. The tweak displays the native charing view on iOS 14.1 and above and it's compatible with all jailbreaks running iOS 12+.

After you install this jailbreak tweak on your iPhone, a dedicated preference pane will get added in the Settings app where you can configure MegaSafe Controller to suit your needs. Toggle the tweak on or off on demand, control the size and color of charging view elements, enable it when using a wired or wireless charger, and change the color of blure in the background.

The developer included also a respring button to apply the changes you make and an option to reset all settings to default values. Don't use tweaks that disable the charging view.

Tomasz Poliszuk released also the MagSafe Enabler tweak. Once installed, it will basically enable a new native MagSafe charging view on the Lock Screen when connecting the device to a power source on iOS 14.1 and above. Can be enabled from the MegaSafe Controller tweak.

All packages are released through BigBoss Repo. MegaSafe Controller adds a bit of freshens to the screen when you charge your device. You can use custom or native MegaSafe charging mode. It works on all modern jailbreaks including the latest version of unc0ver and checkra1n.

Alternatively, try the ChargeAnimations tweak that adds new amazing animations when plugging in your device. This is a paid tweak available for $2.00, and it comes with 11 built-in animations.

Repository

MegaSafe Controller, like all other tweaks released by Tomasz Poliszuk, was published through BigBoss Repository. If you didn't already have this repo on Cydia add it to the list of Sources and install the free tweak. Enable the native "MagSafe" charging view on iOS 12, iOS 13, and iOS 14.

1. Tap on the Cydia app icon from the Home Screen.
2. Switch to the Sources tab and tap Edit → Add.
3. Add the http://apt.thebigboss.org/ repository URL.
4. Cydia will automatically refresh packages available in the repo.
5. Search for MegaSafe Controller tweak and install the package.
6. Restart the Springboard to complete the installation.
7. Access MegaSafe Controller tweaks preferences from the Settings app.

Source Code

MegaSafe Controller was released as an open-source tweak under GPL-3.0 license through GitHub Repository. It was built using those libraries and was written in Logos and Objective-C++ languages. The recent changes to the code were committed on 15 May 2021.
