K2gecamen is a jailbreak tweak that lets you discreetly take photos, capture videos, and record audio in the background. You can control it with your preferred actions and a Control Center module. Sometimes, you need to take hidden actions, and K2gecamen is perfect for that. It was released by m4fn3 and packaged with many features and configuration options.

Repository

K2gecamen is available for purchase from mafu's repo at $4.99. Add the official repository to your preferred package manager and install the tweak for iOS 15 and iOS 16. Rootless and rootful jailbreaks are supported, including the most popular ones like Dopamine and Palera1n.

What is K2gecamen?

K2gecamen is a great alternative to SneakyCam for modern jailbreaks on iOS 15 and iOS 16. Developed by mafu, this tweak offers amazing features to capture videos, record audio, and take photos in the background.

It's useful not only for spies but also for anyone needing to discreetly capture moments in way that other people will not notice it.

After the installation of K2gecamen is completed, a new dedicated preference pane is added to the Settings app. From here you can access all configuration options provided by the tweak.

Mafu, the developer of this tweak, kindly provided me with a license to test it myself. All features work as expected. There are separate configuration options for videos, audio, and photos. Since version 1.0.2, haptic feedback informs you when actions are correctly triggered.

There are a couple of options to activate captures. You can do it from the Control Center by tapping on the camera glyph, but my favorite one is the option to click the physical buttons in combination Press Up+Down. There is also an option to change the activation method to LongPress or Double Press Volume Up or Down buttons on the side of your iPhone.

Silent Video Captures

All videos will be recorded in the background, you can save the output file to both Camera Roll or for better privacy to the Documents folder. K2gecamen supports both front and back cameras with 0.5x (Ultra Wide Camera) / 1x that can be selected from the preference pane.

It allows you to silently take photos, capture videos, and record audio in the background from the Control Center. It's a SneakyCam alternative for iOS 15 and newer that works without any compact layer.

Background Audio Recordings

Audio recordings can be activated in the background by selecting the same key press configuration options. However, if you like to enable the capture of sounds from the Control Center there is a dedicated microphone glyph icon. It can be added from the Settings app.

K2gecamen tweak also offers a feature to hide green or yellow circles while capturing video or recording audio. You can also set the filename of the output files, and disable the actions when the screen is locked so you will be able to activate silent recording on Home Screen only.

Taking pictures without Camera app

Last but not least, K2gecamen features the option to take silent photos without accessing the Camera app. You can take pictures without anyone noticing that you are actually doing it. This is my favorite option offered by this tweak. Front and back cameras are supported.

Just like with video captures, you can choose a custom directory to save your photos. This way, no one will see the photos if they access the Photo app. Additionally, you can set the quality of the saved pictures or open the saved location with Filza file manager if available.

The tweak was released as a paid package and is a bit expensive. However, if you need this feature on your iPhone, it will meet all your requirements. I recommend it to install.

How to install K2gecamen on iOS

K2gecamen tweak was released via private mafu Repo. Add the K2gecamen Repository to enable subtle changes to silently take photos, capture videos, and record audio. This is a commercial rootless and rootful tweak that can be purchased for $4.99 from mafu Store.
