When you install IPA files using a free certificate it's required to re-sign the apps every 7-days. IconCert tweak displays on every app icon a piece of information on how long the certificate will work. This way you will never forget to re-sign any app or jailbreak tool.

What is IconCert?

IconCert is a free jailbreak tweak that adds information of remaining certificate time on the app icon. The latest version supports all modern jailbreaks running iOS 13 up to iOS 14. If you try to install the IconCert tweak on XinaA15 Jailbreak for iOS 15, it will install but will not work.

Every time when you install jailbreak tools like unc0ver with Sideloadly or ReProvision it's a good idea to keep a track of how long jailbreak apps will work before they will get revoked and stop opening. IconCert 14 badge is added to app icons will display how long the app is signed for.

This way you will never forget to re-sign any important app. After installing IconCert tweak, a new preference pane is added to the Settings app from where you can configure all available options. There are some sliders to play with to get the perfect app icon look on Home Screen.

From the preference pane, you can turn IconCert 14 on or off, enable animations, select the time format for the badge, configure the opacity level of the badge using the slider, input the app identifier keywords that will be applied to the badge, and reset all settings to the default values.

IconCert 14 is an updated concept of IconCert tweak adding support for modern iOS versions (13 and 14). The original tweak was released by iOS developer faz for iOS 10. The functionality of the tweak is still useful and IconCert 14 works on modern jailbreaks for iOS and iPadOS devices.

This is definitely one of the must-have tweaks for all jailbreak users, signing and installing IPA files on their iPhones and iPads. Never forget to re-sign an app.

IconCert 14 was released as an open-source project with all files available to view and modify from the GitHub Repository. Recent changes to the source code were added on 2 Sep 2021.

The source code of IconCert tweak was released under the GPL-3 License. IconCert was written in 69.9% in Logos and 20.5% in Objective-C. Theos libraries are required to build the tweak.

Add Repository

IconCert 14 was released as a free package through Haoict repository. Add IconCert Repo to your package manager and display the remaining certificate time on the app icon. The old IconCert version with support for iOS 10 is available through BigBoss Repository.

  1. Lunch Cydia app from the Home Screen.
  2. Tap Sources → Edit → Add the https://haoict.github.io/cydia/ Repo URL.
  3. Search for the IconCert 14 package and install it.
  4. Respring the Springboard to apply changes.
  5. Configure IconCert tweak from the Settings app.
