Flex 3 can install patches and modify apps on iOS 14
Recently, I mentioned how developers debug iOS with FLEXand find hooks to the system objects, making it possible to create tweaks without an official API. This method is for researchers and more advanced users. Flex 3 gives you this with no coding experience.
Add Flex 3 Repo to your package manager.
What is Flex 3?
Flex 3 is a tool allowing you to easily and with no coding experience modify system and 3rd party apps installed on your iOS device. Instead of hacking an app, use one of over 30k patches submitted by the community. The platform works with jailbreak running on iOS 9 – iOS 14.
Once installed, Flex 3 will add a dedicated icon to the Home Screen from where you can lunch the app. From here, you can view and manage installed patches. On top of that, the platform allows you to create your own patches and share them for free with the community. Creating patches require experience, and it's recommended for power users only.
The trial version of Flex 3 allows you to install up to two patches per day. To enable unlimited access to the Flex 3 Cloud, it's required to purchase the app for $4. The latest version 3 Beta 98 was published in 2020, but new patches are still added to the platform by the community.
Flex 3 allows offers a lot of options to find a desired tweak or patch for your app. There is a built-in search engine allowing you to find desired patches, but you can also view patches by installed apps, or go through the list of most popular or recent community patch releases.
Using this platform, there is also a possibility to apply own modifications to apps with the Patch Editor. It is used by the community to create and publish patches within the app. To install a patch, simply tap on the get button to download, and enable it on the Patches screen.
Patch Editor allows you to view apps, system and embedded libraries with option to search through classes. With this tool, you can find methods implemented inside the app and change arguments and values. This can be used to activate an app, disable ads, and many other things.
“Every day, someone downloads Flex with an idea in their head, and is able to create their perfect patch. Then they upload that patch to the Flex Community Cloud and others are able to share their vision. This is what Flex is built for, simple installing patches.”
FLEX (Flipboard Explorer) offers a lot of features. With this iOS development tool, you can inspect and modify views in the hierarchy, see the properties and ivars on any object, or access any live object via a scan of the heap. Try the FLEXall tweak to debug system and iOS apps.
Another tool allowing you to patch iOS apps is the Satella 2 tweak. This is a modern in-app purchase cracker with support for iOS 12.2 up to iOS 14.8.1. With this tweak, you can easily crack any app offering in-app purchases, allowing you to enable additional features for free.
Flex 3 was released as a free trial, allowing you to install up to 2 app patches per day. It is available for download through BigBoss Repo, but to install the latest version it's recommended to add the official Flex 3 Repo to your package manager.
